Oral and maxillofacial surgeons are the experts in face, mouth and jaw surgery. This specialty requires additional years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training after graduation from dental school. Dr. Strawn, as an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, manages a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth, and facial regions. Dr. Strawn practices a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from dental implant surgery and wisdom tooth removal to corrective jaw surgery. This also includes techniques designed to effectively rebuild bone structure with minimal surgical intervention and optimal patient comfort.

Dr. Strawn spent the past 10 years serving in various teaching roles, training residents in the specialty of oral and maxillofacial surgery. That experience instilled a commitment to continuously learning everything I can about the specialty. This process is never finished and requires being involved in the latest research and incorporating into practice in order to achieve the best results for patients. As an office, we want to give you the knowledge and understanding of the procedures you need so that you can make the best decision for yourself and your health and needs.

Surgical precision is imperative to getting a good result. We are attentive to every detail in the practice. This of course includes the choice in using the most advanced and state of the art equipment. The surgical precision and equipment choices used can improve your surgical result as well as healing time

Safety

Safety of patients and staff members has never been more important than it is now. We have implemented many measure to ensure the utmost in patient and team safety. Please see our Covid-19 page for more information. We also understand that anesthesia (in office sedation) can be necessary but very scary for many patients. For that reason, we use every safety measure possible. The office is equipped with hospital level equipment, monitors, and medications to ensure safety in every situation. For every procedure involving anesthesia, there are 3 personnel in the room at all times with life support training. I maintained basic life support, advanced life support, and pediatric life support training.  As part of her clinical training, Dr. Strawn has undergone extensive training and certification in the administration of anesthesia in the office setting.
